Hamlet (2000)

The text track to this trailer is very straight and to the point, but very vague. The words that cross the screen are as follows: The President of Denmark Corporation is dead, Already his wife is remarried: to a man suspected of the murder. Now trust is impossible, passion is on the rise, and revenge is in the air. 

The words that are displayed on the screen have an impact on viewer. The viewer automatically feels suspense as the world dead and murder crosses the screen. After the viewer sees the words "trust, impossible, passion, and revenge" on the screen, the viewer automatically thinks of scenarios or similar instances in their life, that similar things have happened to them or that they have felt that similar way. 

The visual track for this trailer is very entertaining. The trailer starts out with Hamlet telling people that he has seen his father everywhere and the ghost appearing. The viewer sees the queen and Hamlet's uncle together Hamlet spying on someone. Suddenly, Hamlet is handed a gun and the scene changes to press conference,with someone pointing the gun at someone else. The scene changes once more with  Hamlet kissing Ophelia and Ophelia's brother telling her to beware. All of a sudden, there are three shots and then Ophelia screams. Hamlet sword fights and fist fights with people, all the dramatic, action scenes flash before the viewers eye in a matter of 30 seconds, and then the narrator begins naming the actors in the movie.

There is a lot of images packed into this 1 minute and 50 second trailer of Hamlet. The viewers receive the message that the movie will be jam packed with thrill, intensity, drama, action, romance, and betrayal. 

The soundtrack for this trailer is very basic. The trailer starts out with action thriller music; the kind that you usually hear in a superhero movie or a action filled movie. The music makes the viewer feel energized and excited about the plot. This music continues for about a minute until it is stopped by 3 gun shots and a scream. Then new song comes on, a sad sounding song, that makes the viewer feel depressed and anxious about what is going to come next in the plot. There are many other guns shots and then the announcer says the actors names that are the main characters of the movie.

The intended audience for this movie is 17 year old teenagers and above. This film is rated R for sex and nudity, violence and gore, profanity, alcohol/ drugs/ smoking, and frightening/ intense scenes.

Saved by the Bell

Saved by the Bell was a very popular 90s hit sitcom, focusing on 6 students from Bayside high School in Palisades, California, following all of their experiences and adventurous of being in high school. The main character, Zack Morris, has the power to call "Time out!' during a scene in the show and the whole scene will freeze, in whatever position they are in. Then Zack, talks to the audience about what his next plan of action is, before saying "Time in!" and the scene goes on. The show show uses this modern soliloquy as a different, interesting part of the plot, to notify the viewer of what funny scene is coming next.

Most of the soliloquies emphasized the theme of mischief since most of the soliloquies that Zack took part of, were to talk to the audience about his plan and get himself out of trouble. These soliloquies notified the audience that something crazy or hilarious was about to happen, right after he called "Time in!" It also alerted the audience that his insane, mischievous plan was about to blow up in his face.
